Expanding my horizons

Over the years I've mentioned my efforts to develope a social life that gets me out of my apartment , and meeting people on a regular basis.

That began with dinner invites from valued friends from the 1st message boards I belonged to online in 2000.

Capt. Trips, and his soon to be wife ,  Ukiah ( their online ID's at the time ) took me to restaurants in Universal City, Santa Monica, and Malibu that I'd never have gone to on my own, and I met others of our mutual acquaintance.

I wish the happy couple the best in their upcoming joining.

My weekend trips to Phoenix, and then Chicago, soon followed, but after Sept. 11 things happened that kept me from continuing this new part to my life.

My first foray into this Community will be Monday, and Tuesday.

On Monday I'm going go play Tennis for the 1st time since High School. :-)

I invested $20 in a nice racquet, and will go have some fun, and exercise, and hope I don't embarrass myself in the process.

Andre Agassi, I most certainly am not! :-)

On Tuesday there is a dinner gathering at a popular German Restaurant in Anaheim.

Ever since those days in 2000/01 I've looked forward to being able to do more than just ride my bike, or go to a movie, as a way to get out of the house, and now the time has come.

One small step led to several big strides, and now I am about to take a giant leap...
