I've just finished reading a recent interview that Jay, of Stop the ACLU, had with Glenn Reynolds, of Instapundit.
Aside from the excellent legal discussion there was something that Glenn said that is good advice to Bloggers trying to build an audience:
Post regularly, post in your own voice, and build up a following of your own. Links from bigger blogs are nice in exposing more people to your site, but most of those readers won’t stick around. You build up a regular readership by attracting people who want to come back.
He also said... "I try hard to mention smaller blogs, but there are so many that it only scratches the surface."
Posting in your own voice, and building up a following of your own...
While I have regular readers here, the truth in that advice is showing itself in the traffic, and linking, related to my other Blog, The Cycling Dude.
And, yes, Glenn DOES, link to the little guy.
I am proof that this is true, and am truly honored by such notice.
