The Stop The ACLU blog and BlogBurst have been founded with the goal of bringing public awareness of the Anti-American activities of the American Civil Liberties Union.
Let me share with you, this week, some stories currently in the news that you may not be aware of:
1. ACLU compares MLK to terrorists.
The ACLU recently put out a full page ad using the legacy of MLK to further their anti-Bush campaign over NSA. They took the history of how MLK was illegally wiretapped, and compared it to what Bush did with NSA. The ad is very disrespectful, and I found the wording interesting, how they automatically called the terror suspects under NSA surveillance innocent Americans, and assume Bush automatically guilty.
No matter how we view MLK, we all know he was against violence as a means of achieving political goals. Opposite that of the terrorist the ACLU defend, and compare him too in this ad.
Here is the full story, and the AD in question.
2. ACLU sues the NSA.
Is the ACLU in contact with terrorists overseas? Well, of course they are! Now it seems they are paranoid of getting caugt! They now plan to sue!
"Saying that the Bush administration’s illegal spying on Americans must end, the American Civil Liberties Union today filed a first-of-its-kind lawsuit against the National Security Agency seeking to stop a secret electronic surveillance program that has been in place since shortly after September 11, 2001."

3. This Ben Franklin quote, from 1755, has been misused and abused by the civil liberties absolutists since Sept. 11: Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
In the debate on civil liberties and National Security you will hear a Benjamin Franklin quote thrown at you often that states, "Those willing to give up a little liberty for a little security deserve neither security nor liberty."
First of all, we are not talking about a little liberty for a little security, we are talking about the very real possibility of thousands being blown up, that may be prevented by minor inconveniences.
Second, I want someone to show me where one person's liberties have been violated through the Patriot Act, or one person who has been damaged by a phone tap that was actually innocent.
You can't.
Read Essential Liberties.
4. The Hypocritical legacy of the ACLU:
Convincing liberals that the ACLU is leading us down a dangerous path is about as productive as talking to a rock. Perhaps this is because I mostly deal with far left liberals who share the same insane views and have the same radical agenda as the ACLU. Anyone who believes that the ACLU is there to purely defend the Constitution is naive at best. Surely there are some moderate liberals out there that can concede that the organization is in need of reform.
A balanced society can not survive resting in the fringe. A Nation only concerned with security will drift toward a police state, and one that follows the absolutist views of liberty like the ACLU will drift toward anarchy.

5. Alright Boys, now's your chance! The ACLU has gone to bat for you to win the right for you to wear what YOU want to school every day!
A male high school student can wear a skirt to school after the American Civil Liberties Union reached an agreement with school officials. The ACLU announced the deal Tuesday. It will allow a Hasbrouck Heights School senior to wear a skirt to protest the school’s no-shorts policy. The district’s dress code bans shorts between Oct. 1 and April 15, but allows skirts, a policy 17-year-old Michael Coviello believes is discriminatory. “I’m happy to be able to wear skirts again to bring attention to the fact that the ban on shorts doesn’t make sense,” Coviello said in a statement.

7. Have you heard of CourtZero?:
It is time for We, The People, to act. Recent Supreme Court rulings make it clear that our Constitution, as we know, no longer exists, except in the personal opnions of whatever Supreme Court justice happens to hold the swing vote in a 5-4 opinion.
A Constitutional Crisis is on the horizon, and there is little evidence to suggest that the other 2 branches of our government will do much about it.
Our elected representatives no longer pass laws; they simply suggest laws for approval, or disapproval, of any federal judge who might want the law to say something different.
CourtZero wants to educate fellow citizens as well as remind our representatives that we are serious about representative government.
Check out the website of CourtZero.

I use to worry that the A.C.L.U. was communist or to far to the right, but as I watched their every move... knowing they were going to overthrow democracy... i realized they were actually defending my freedoms guaranteed by MY BILL OF Rights. Yes, they have bloodied my toes by stepping on them.... but by doing so they defended others BILL OF RIGHTS.
We don't agree with their every move but when our rights are violated.. who do we turn to in our time of need... of coarse.. the A. C. L. U.......... Pay the dues and carry a card,.... if you really care.
