My secret is out!
I am a Black Man.
I have SOUL.
I know how to give a technically accurate, and stylish, I might add, High Five.
I can do the Funky Chicken, and not embarrass myself TOO MUCH in the process.
I am an unabashed fan of the Wayans Brothers, whose film, Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood, I consider to be a masterpiece, and whose TV Show, In Living Color, is the same.
I just LUV Watermelon!
I think Michael Jackson should have quit, while he was ahead, with Thriller, especially the brilliant video.
My list of favorite Black actors, and actresses, going back to the 1930's, is too long to get into.
I love, Instrumental Jazz, especially the older stuff, Ragtime, and a good ol' fashion Negro Spiritual, as well.

Okay, enough with the having a laugh at the ridiculousness of the whole notion that I'm a Colored Man, much less a Maceyugoserbulgarigreekadonian African-American. ;-D
Wassup with these folks, and is their site worth a look despite their apparent inability to recognize that this Brotha aint' actually a Brotha, but a HONKY?
Well, actually, it is.;-D
Some Po' Fool, in Texas, was checking out their site around 1130am PST, this morning, and was sufficiently lured by the name of my Blog to take a look.
As soon as said worthy noticed that my Cat looks blacker than I am that was the end of the visit. ;-D
So I checked out the AfAmReport site.
On their About Page they give a brief Statement of Purpose:
The African American Report's mission is to provide a compendium of news, issues and commentary relevant to the black community.
In an effort to encourage Advertisers they quote fascinating results of a recent survey conducted by IMAGES Market Research for AOL Black Voices.
Now, I don't doubt that some of what I blog about here is relevant to African Americans and I especially know that many of the links in my sidebars ARE, ESPECIALLY if you are an African-American fed up with the Democrats, and Liberalism in general, and looking to see what Republicans, and Conservatism, have to offer as a viable alternative, BUT I AM NOT AN AFRICAN-AMERICAN, and my presense in the above Blogroll begs the question of how these folks are choosing what to link to, and if they are even checking the nominee out for proof of Blackness ( They think Michelle Malkin is Black as well ( Um, Is She?? ) ) before adding the link.
I am in the Blogroll of some popular, respected, African-American Bloggers, such as La Shawn Barber, and had stories linked to by Black Bloggers, and visa-a-versa, and maybe that's how I ended up on the list.
The collection of links, and resources, is quite impressive, and politically varied as well, and the links in the Article Archive provide access to some interesting, informative, and sometimes controversial, articles from around the nation ( But their Blog is BRAND NEW, and aparently a work in progress, with nothing to recommend it, for now ).
One thing that I hope will be rectified is providing a more detailed ABOUT PAGE.
Who are the folks behind this project?
There is no clue.
They could be a bunch of Honkies! ( Hee, hee! )
Definely check the place out, and judge its usefullness for yourself...
BTW, This ain't the 1st time this has happened....
In the 90's a new African-American magazine, the name of which escapes me now, was sending preview solicitation packets to prospective African-American Subscribers.
Everything was written addressing me by name, as an intelligent, informed Black Man, ETC....
I wrote a nice letter back thanking them for the interest, and letting them know of the error, in a very humorous way.
I also gave my favorable analysis, and opinion, of their new magazine, based on the preview issue sent me.
My letter was printed, and everyone had a good laugh. ;-D

I proceeded to send a letter to the Webmaster looking for answers. ( Hee, hee )
As of last night I had not heard back, and was still listed on the site. ;-D
