READ EVERY WORD.... THEN READ IT AGAIN!
AND PAY ATTENTION THIS TIME!
Anyone who believes a word this man says, or trusts him, has been drinking too much of the proverbial "Kool-Aid", and needs their head examined.... like immediately.
Iran Presidents letter to the U.S. - Mideast/N. Africa - MSNBC.com
PDF VERSION courtesy of FOX Online.
Appeasing him, or his nation, letting them get Nuclear Capability of any sort, or letting them have a free hand in Iraq, will be the biggest mistake this world has seen since the brilliance displayed by the astute, and capable, Brit Neville Chamberlain.
Remember where that led?
This man, his governement, and the Religious Fanatics ruling the cultural life of the nation since the fall of the Shah, are a menace to the future of the Middle East, and the future of Western Civilization.
I've read this piece of BS....
What absolute mind-numbing hooey...
It's obviously been designed to be targeted at the "blue" American audience...
Those hardcore Far Lefties, and Peaceniks, too enamored of Socialism, and too full of loathing for all that is great about America, Democracy, and Capitalism, to realize that they would not last 2 seconds in the world of their wet dreams because they could not live in a land that does not afford them the freedoms to live the life they lead in the land of the government they hate.
This Madman thinks the Liberal Mainstream Media is now running our foreign policy, and that he has them in his pocket....
And he be may be right.
Anyone notice the NY Times is leaking like a sieve again?
If this wasn't so scary it would be funny.
PAY ATTENTION!
READ ALL THAT YOU CAN ABOUT THE THREAT WE FACE.
Start here:
Our current crisis is not yet a catastrophe, but a real loss of confidence of the spirit. The hard-won effort of the Western Enlightenment of some 2,500 years that, along with Judeo-Christian benevolence, is the foundation of our material progress, common decency, and scientific excellence, is at risk in this new millennium.
But our newest foes of Reason are not the enraged Athenian democrats who tried and executed Socrates. And they are not the Christian zealots of the medieval church who persecuted philosophers of heliocentricity. Nor are they Nazis who burned books and turned Western science against its own to murder millions en masse.
No, the culprits are now more often us. In the most affluent, and leisured age in the history of Western civilization--never more powerful in its military reach, never more prosperous in our material bounty--we have become complacent, and then scared of the most recent face of barbarism from the primordial extremists of the Middle East.
What would a beleaguered Socrates, a Galileo, a Descartes, or Locke believe, for example, of the moral paralysis in Europe? Was all their bold and courageous thinking--won at such a great personal cost--to allow their successors a cheap surrender to religious fanaticism and the megaphones of state-sponsored fascism?
Just imagine in our present year, 2006: plan an opera in today's Germany, and then shut it down. Again, this surrender was not done last month by the Nazis, the Communists, or kings, but by the producers themselves in simple fear of Islamic fanatics who objected to purported bad taste. Or write a novel deemed unflattering to the Prophet Mohammed. That is what did Salman Rushdie did, and for his daring, he faced years of solitude, ostracism, and death threats--and in the heart of Europe no less. Or compose a documentary film, as did the often obnoxious Theo Van Gogh, and you may well have your throat cut in "liberal" Holland. Or better yet, sketch a simple cartoon in postmodern Denmark of legendary easy tolerance, and then go into hiding to save yourself from the gruesome fate of a Van Gogh. Or quote an ancient treatise, as did Pope Benedict, and then learn that all of Christendom may come under assault, and even the magnificent stones of the Vatican may offer no refuge--although their costumed Swiss Guard would prove a better bulwark than the European police. Or write a book critical of Islam, and then go into hiding in fear of your life, as did French philosophy teacher Robert Redeker.
And we need not only speak of threats to free speech, but also the tangible rewards from a terrified West to the agents of such repression.
Read the whole thing:
LOSING THE ENLIGHTENMENT: A civilization that has lost confidence in itself cannot confront the Islamists By Victor Davis Hanson.
And then read another essay by him as well:
Consider yourself duly warned.
Americans are responding with letters of their own:
One thing to remember:
In far too many places all around the world, publicly speaking ones mind like this would get you, and even your family shot, or arrested, tossed in jail to rot, or maybe shot, arrrested, given a sham trial, tossed in jail to rot, or maybe shot.... you get the idea.
A Tip of the Hat to Instapundit for the Hanson Essays. ;-D
***UPDATE - 12/1***
The Blog An Old Broad's Ramblings has this to say about Radical Islam:
I don’t think a fraction of people in this country understand just how lucky we are. Children thirsting for knowledge, teachers literally DYING to teach. I can’t even begin to comment on the disgust I feel after reading this article for the so called “religion of peace” that blindly accepts this sort of outrage.
Go here to learn what has her so incensed.
A Tip of the Hat to Stop the ACLU's FRIDAY FREE FOR ALL.
***END UPDATE***
I don't think for a minute that the letter was addressed to Americans. He's holding court for all the lackeys in the media.
He's a murdering thug & most Americans have known that for a while now.

It seems to me that two wonderful events happened in the last few days and I'm happy to see both waiting opportunities for us westerners fed up with war to embrace. The Pope is actively healing wounds with most of our Muslim brothers and sisters on the planet and The President of Iran Ahmadinejad has given the opportunity for Americans to back out gracefully from this mess in Iraq. A war that should never have happened in the first place. President Bush and his administration has lied to the world and has turned our planet into a hot oven of danger to mankind. No I'm not excusing radical Muslims for there crimes and while we are on the subject, name one country on the planet who's not guilty of committing evil against another. We all have our radicals from every colour , race, and creed that are bent on hate, but the bulk of the planet are lovers of peace. The point I'm making here is our leaders on the planet are fucking things up and leading us to a road of annihilation and it's time we start handing our a few pick slips starting with the number one evil doer and fuck up, George W. Bush. I'm sure George has his good sides as I don't believe any man is completely pure in evil but George needs to admit his wrongs and begin to turn his life around for the better. He needs to fire his administration, hand in his resignation and pass the power over to the house leader Nancy. Maybe having a woman in power will usher our sorry sad planet back onto the road for peace to all man kind. I see Americans as leaders of peace, but Americans need to remove the commander in chief who has disregard for people and is only committed to fattening the pockets of the privileged rich and powerful few. Its time to take America back from the corporate dominators who have no use for America's constitution, human rights, and freedoms. Only profits of power and greed are their motivators. The first thing we all need to do for peace is to face our fears. and the manufactured fears of corporate media. Remember that the majority rules and the majority in our planet want peace and justice for all mankind.

BUHWAHAHAHAHA!!!
You ain't married are ya?
The President of Iran Ahmadinejad has given the opportunity for Americans to back out gracefully from this mess in Iraq.
This would be the same President Ahmadinejad, who was elected after the clerics banned women, reformers and liberals from the race. The same "President" Ahmadinejad who was "selected " after some 1,000 potential candidates were disqualified from the race by the clergy and the very same "President" Ahmadinejad who pledged to purge Iran's universities of liberal and secular professors.
And the President Ahmadinejad who is deeply committed to the Islamic Messiah, al Mahdi. He claims that he is to personally prepare the world for the coming Mahdi.
"As mayor of Tehran, for example, Mr. Ahmadinejad appears to have in 2004 secretly instructed the city council to build a grand avenue to prepare for the Mahdi. A year later, as president, he allocated $17 million for a blue-tiled mosque closely associated with mahdaviat in Jamkaran, south of the capital. He has instigated the building of a direct Tehran-Jamkaran railroad line. He had a list of his proposed cabinet members dropped into a well adjacent to the Jamkaran mosque, it is said, to benefit from its purported divine connection."
In Ahmadinejad's vision in order to save the world, it must be in a state of chaos and subjugation. Ahmadinejad claims he was “directed by Allah to pave the way for the glorious appearance of the Mahdi”. This apocalyptic directive includes some very scary proclamations.
He spoke to the United Nations in September ’05. During that speech he claims to have been in an aura of light and felt a change in the atmosphere during which time no one present could blink their eyes. Iran’s PM is also said to have spoken in apocalyptic terms and seems to relish conflict with the West whom he calls the Great Satan. This is while Ahmadinejad proclaims he must prepare the world for the coming Mahdi by way of a world totally under Muslim control. He is working hard to bring about the world-wide horrors that must be in place for their al Mahdi to bring peace, aka Armageddon.
In his own words from the UN speech:
"From the beginning of time, humanity has longed for the day when justice, peace, equality and compassion envelop the world. All of us can contribute to the establishment of such a world. When that day comes, the ultimate promise of all Divine religions will be fulfilled with the emergence of a perfect human being who is heir to all prophets and pious men. He will lead the world to justice and absolute peace.
"O mighty Lord, I pray to you to hasten the emergence of your last repository, the promised one, that perfect and pure human being, the one that will fill this world with justice and peace."
This notion and goal, along with a violent hatred of infidels, America and Israel does not bode well for whirled peas, do it?
Put down the tinfoil hat and back away from the computer before the double secret BusHilterRovian mind rays home in on your gullibility.

Well, the above exchange led me to fire off the following to the Blogger of Scrubs and Shines imediately:
Dear Scrubs:
Thanks for your very informative comment. ;-D
I was gonna reply, but someone has done so in a way much better than I.
Care to respond?? ;-D
Kiril
I did not expect a reply considering the spot on nature of BJ's little masterpiece, but, this morning I got one by e-mail:
No I won't respond, I said it and stand by it, nuff said, perhaps one day you may agree with the points I made.
Tin Foil Hat? What's that all about?
Cheers
Scrubs....
It seems to me that Scrubs sadly has taken the usual way out of a difficult situation that those opposed to waging the fight we are in, to the fullest, on all fronts it is being waged, take when presented with the evidence of the folly of their views....
I am right, U is misguided, end of story, ergo I do not need to respond to your spot on, hard hitting, ripping to shreds of my sides take on the situation....
Ok, I accept that, though I am dissapointed that he does not seem to have the courage to answer the points made in response to his comment.
Me thinks he knows he can't. ;-D
As for Bj's last sentence me thinks the meaning of it should be self explanatory.
When you believe, and spread, the conspiracies found on your site, you must surely realize what most folks will think, when they see them, and when they read anything you may write on subjects of importance to their lives, the lives of their children, and the future of civilization?
