January 2007

Meowsings of a Right Paw Puttie Tat 9

Hello...

Nikita here...

Nik_jan07

Hey did you know that January 22nd was "Ask Your Cat a Question Day?"

Me neither.

Nik_surv

Daddy submitted some questions, and helpfully provided all the paper he thought I would need to answer them.

1. What does "Living the Purrfect Life" mean to you?

2. What do you do all day besides sleep?

3. What do you dream when sleeping?

4. Is Catnip overrated?

I plead the 5th. ;-D

Why America is Lucky Kerry Did Not Win

He consorts with the enemy, and says stupid, ignorant, and unpatriotic things to appease them.

“So we have a crisis of confidence in the Middle East — in the world, really. I’ve never seen our country as isolated, as much as a sort of international pariah for a number of reasons as it is today.”

Kerry said the government needs to use diplomacy to improve national security.

Excuse me?

When Kerry, and all the rest in the Appeasement Brigade are so blinded by their hatred of Bush, and Conservatives, in general, that they hang out with America Haters worldwide, such behavior does NOTHING to improve our national security, and is NOT in our national interest.

Little Green Footballs has the story, and some very disturbing photos.

We should all be damn glad Kerry had a Brain Fart, flash in the pan though it was, that clued him in to the fact that he should not run for President in 2008.

John Kerry consorts with the Enemies of America, and he has the nerve to complain about the freedom loving “unfortunate habit” of Americans to see the world “exclusively through an American lens.”.

Seeing the world through HIS lens, and that of the Democrats, and Radical Left, will be the ruin of Western Civilization.

The Stumble Upon Effect

I've plugged some of my posts on Stumple Upon, in the past few months, and it has been interesting to see the response.

On December 24th I linked to my Poem Sneakeasys Joint: A Visit to Baghdad.

Since then there have been 60 visits, and 101 page views.

2 of those folks have rated the piece, and both were Thumbs Up, but neither left comments as to why. ;-D

On Jan.19th I posted my story Sneakeasys Joint: Alien Murdered on Streets of Huntington Beach!.

Since then there have been 108 visits, and 181 page views.

No one has voted Thumbs Up, or Down, yet. ;-D

I wonder how many of those folks read the Weekly World News, and how many of them BELIEVE its reporting? ;-D

Islam and Europe

FROM THE PAGE:

"This project aims to cover the often-heated debate about Islam in Europe, with MSNBC.com and NBC correspondents reporting from across the region."

Not yet ready to wade into any number of books, from the last decade, that go much deeper than the reporters of MSNBC, into the dangerous situation the West is confronted with in Europe?

Start here, and I guarantee you will want to check the links in my sidebar, and explore further.

Alien Murdered on Streets of Huntington Beach!

Ded_alien

The search continues, after 3 years, for the killers of  Yoj Matihc,  from the planet Alienopolus, run over one night, on the sidewalk on Eddinger, near Gothard, in the quiet seaside community of Huntington Beach, CA..

The Visitor from another world was on a 2 person Exploratory Mission from his Planet, to see if Earth people were civilized, and intelligent enough, to handle 1st Contact.

"I heard the Commander say 'OOBAKEEP!! ( Look out!! )' as this strange, unlighted vehicle, with 1 human at the controls, ran right over ha, and kept on going ," said the creatures' companion Ddot. "Then there was silence. Ha was flattened! We can't even remove the remains for burial."

"We believe that he, it, um, whatever, was killed by either a Bicyclist, or someone in a wheechair," said Chief Investigator Jeri Dalts, of Huntington Beach PD. "The fact that this crime is still unsolved is terrible for the cause of Intergalactic Outreach in our city, as we gear up for the 2007 Surfing, and V- Ball Seasons."

Though a bike was found on the grounds of nearby Goldenwest College, it is an old model, with no way of identifing the brand, beyond being 10 speeds, and has no license tag.

"We've been on missions such as this plenty of times and nothing happened," said Ddot. "Of course we always tried to do our research unobserved, and were always successful. Until that night."

According to experts, such tragic encounters occur with disturbing regularity. "It's an ancient risk that the Visitors have always taken," said Prof. Yor Leig Bingpuled, of the United Nations Office for the Investigation of UFO's and other Unexplained Phenomena .

The death has left many on the creatures' home planet wary of making future contact with Earth.

"Our Leader, and Planetary Congress, have been sharply divided on the issue since the incident," said Ddot, now on his 3rd visit to check on the progress of Authorities, "Especially our Cimalsi Party. They want to declare Dahij, and let's just say that you would not like it if that happened."

White House Spokesman, Tony Snow, said the President had no comment.

Spokespersons for Democratic Leaders in Congress said they will form a Committee.

Pat Robertson, on the 700 Club, said it was God's Will, and serves as a sign of the End Times.

Republican Leaders are hoping Pat will just shut up, and believe that the whole story is something straight out of The Weekly World News, so not worth discussing anyway.

Cindy Sheehan plans to accompany Ddot back to his planet, as "An Ambassador for Peace, and Friendship, on behalf of Mankind", with the approval of the United Nations ( The US,and Britain, abstained from voting. )

I know that this reporter speaks for many Americans, when I say...

Good-bye luck Cindy! America, and the World, will be the better for your absence effort. ;-D

****UPDATE -- Midnite****

After thinking on it for a day, and checking the Website of the Weekly World News to see if I missed anything....

I decided to let them know that they have been beaten to a story by a lowly, insignificant, Blogger.

One that sometimes doesn't even wear his PJ's. ;-D

MY E-MAIL:

Dear Weekly World News:

For many years I have always been able to count on the responsible reporters of your newspaper to cover the stories that no-one else will.

Not CNN, Not FOX, Not Comedy Central, Not even the Blogosphere's own at Little Green Footballs, and Pajamas Media.

This week you let me down.

I got a story that you seem to be unaware of.

You appear to be completely out of the loop, despite your immense resources, financial, and otherwise.

This is a sad, sad, day, for Responsible Journalism.

Read it, and weep!

Alien Murdered on Streets of Huntington Beach! ( Picture included! ) = http://www.sneakeasysjoint.com/sneakeasy/2007/01/alien_murdered_.html

What do you have to say for yourselves in the face of this humiliation?

Sincerely yours,

MR. KIRIL KUNDURAZIEFF
Santa Ana, CA. USA

I will report any further developements if any, um, develope. ;-D

****END UPDATE****

Christmas and BookCrossing in New Zealand

It has been almost 4 months since I lasted posted about BookCrossing!

I have some catching up to do!

This year I plan to add to my archive of posts, that I call Adventures in BookCrossing, by posting about my Releases, and Catches, sharing news about Bookcrossing, and some of the great BookCrossing related articles written by my fellows over the years.

The big thrill for me, as a BookCrosser, came in early April when I was interviewed by a reporter for the local paper, for a May sidebar to a March AP Story, and then the AP Reporter responded to an E-mail I sent!

I used the platform of this Blog to elaborate on the reporting of the original story in hopes of spreading the word about BookCrossing.

Anyway, to begin the new year, I thought I'd share a short report on how the folks down under celebrated Christmas:

Seems there's a Christmas Eve tradition among BookCrossers there to gather in and decorate the Christmas tree. According to FutureCat, "This was the second time we've made a Christmas booktree, so we were all well organised with plenty of Christmas-themed books ( Everything from biblical stories to barbecue recipes to romances with "Christmas" in the title — about 80 books in total, I think )".

A bit more on the story can be read here.

FutureCat's FULL report can be read here, on her Blog. ;-D

As of this morning begins there are 523,325 BookCrossers around the world.

This closenit, award-winning, Community has collectively registered 3,617,270 books, in almost 6 years.

Join the fun, through the link in my left sidebar, and say Sneakeasy referred you. ;-D

Immigration By the Numbers

I have just seen one of the most important presentations on Immigration, and Illegal Immigration, that  you will ever watch.

It is scary, and it is an eye opener.

From the page:

"Roy Beck's celebrated demonstration of the population consequences of current U.S. immigration policies has entertained and shocked ... all  audiences across the country.

This video is packed with the facts and analysis that make moral and practical sense of a complex and highly contentious issue."

An absolute jaw dopper!

If this doesn't scare the hell out you enough to care about ending Illegal Immigration, and lowering Legal Immigration, nothing will.

Watch it!!!

Then visit NumbersUSA.org.

WWGOT: What Would George Orwell Think?

From Bloomberg.com comes an interesting story from Great Britain.

Blair said citizens have to sacrifice some freedoms to fight terrorism, illegal immigration, and identity fraud.

"George Orwell Was Right: Spy Cameras See Britons' Every Move......"

Here is a question for you:

Which country would you rather live in?

A. United Kingdom.

B. Saudi Arabia.

C. United States.

D. All of the Above.

E. A and C.

Think Carefully, and Choose Wisely.

In the spirit of Political Correctness, Diversity, and not insulting the beliefs, and sensitivities, of those who think differently than I....

I will graciously refrain from giving MY answer. ;-D

Guardsmen overrun at the Border

Okay, damn it, THIS should NOT be happening!

A U.S. Border Patrol entry Identification Team site was overrun Wednesday night along Arizona’s border with Mexico.

According to the Border Patrol, an unknown number of gunmen attacked the site in the state’s West Desert Region around 11 p.m. The site is manned by National Guardsmen. Those guardsmen were forced to retreat.

The Border Patrol will not say whether shots were fired. However, no Guardsmen were injured in the incident.

The Border Patrol says the incident occurred somewhere along the 120 mile section of the border between Nogales and Lukeville. The area is known as a drug corridor. Last year, 124-thousand pounds of illegal drugs were confiscated in this area.

The Border patrol says the attackers quickly retreated back into Mexico.

From ArizonaCentral.com.

Will the Prez  have the BALLS to do something about this bullshit??

Where's the major Media?

Put sufficient troops on the border, and SHOOT anything coming OVER the line, and if the Liberal ( And even a few Conservative. ) Asshats in Congress don’t like it, throw the bastards OUT come 2008…

Maybe it’s TIME for a, um, Million Citizen March on DC to explain to our elected Representatives that we want Illegal Immigration halted, from every country in the world.

No Amnesty.

Amnesty allows criminals, and I mean REAL criminals that should be locked up, and/or deported, on principal, to stay so I say why not round everyone up, and at least deport all those with the slightest criminal record?

Don't tell me it ain't feasable.

The alternative is surrender, and that is something Western Civilization CAN NOT AFFORD.

The United States has laws that should be enforced, and the means to enforce those laws.

Train sufficient people to properly do the job, at all levels, in all areas of our society, and get on with it.

I'm sorry Mexico, Central, and South America are so Fucked Up, and that Africa 3 times as bad, but that's for the natives to sort out, and fix, and the sooner people stop running, and get the guts to take control away from incompetents that for decades, and even centuries, have ran these places into the ground, the quicker those countires can join the 21st century.

That oath some folks took, that part about ”to defend against all enemies” says “both foreign AND domestic” and the more I read on the Illegal Immigration issue, and the Radical Muslim Threat, and the laxness of officials, and agencies, designed to fight these dangers, the more I am becoming firmly convinced that our BIGGEST enemy may very well be WITHIN….

You will notice 2 new collections of extremely important links in my sidebar, related to Islam, and Illegal Immigration, and I will soon have my Amazon Book Recommendations highlighting related books that every American should read, and it is my hope that people have the courage to explore this material, and open their eyes to the dangers all around us.

A Tip of the Hat to Texas Fred.

Jefferson Quran Dragged into Modern Controversy

As everyone knows, by now, a newly elected Congressman, who is an American who converted to Islam in college, caused an uproar by choosing to use a Koran in his un-official, ceremonial, swearing in ceremony.

Many people seem to have no problem with the decision of the Congressman, to do this, and not to have a Christian Bible even present, and are attacking anyone who does.

It's a publicity stunt of a ceremony, for the benefit of the folks back home, that is a traditional photo-op, and nothing more, and the controversy is much ado about nothing, they say.

As Dennis Prager says:

These naive people do not appreciate that America will not change the attitude of a single American-hating Muslim by allowing Ellison to substitute the Koran for the Bible. In fact, the opposite is more likely: Ellison's doing so will embolden Islamic extremists and make new ones, as Islamists, rightly or wrongly, see the first sign of the realization of their greatest goal -- the Islamicization of America.

Last month, Rep. Virgil Goode, R-Va., warned that unless immigration is tightened, "many more Muslims" will be elected, and follow Ellison's lead.

Of course everyone has been running around, like chickens with their heads cut off, calling Mr. Goode a racist, and worse, but he has stuck to his guns.

It is considered, apparently, Politically Incorrect  to express public concern that Muslims, Immigrant, or natural born, become office holders in city, county, state, and national positions.

We are not supposed to be concerned that an American-born practitioner of Islam could theoretically be elected President of the United States.

Yes, yes, I know the possibility is extremely remote, but, hey, didn't they used to say the same about the election of a Catholic? ;-D

In an era when the Democrats, and Liberalism, are in the apparent ascendancy, the Diversity Dogma, Multiculturalist Activism, and Political Correctness, are rampant, "Tolerance" is the rule for the acceptance of far too much in our society, and our Immigration enforcement is, to be extremely charitable, very lax, it is important for Americans to be concerned with a lot of questions that make people uncomfortable.

We will most likely see a Woman, and a Negro ( Using THAT word is Politically Incorrect these days, I know, and I don't give a Rat's Ass! ) elected to the offices of Vice President, and President of the United States, in my lifetime and, for the foreseable future, Western Civilization finds itself at war with terrorists ( and, there is no doubt, behind the scenes, for now anyway, at least 1 nation. ) whose ideology, and religious beliefs, are derived directly from the religion of Islam, and its Holy Book, so it is beyond past time that Americans get their heads out of their Asses and pay close attention to the world around them.

Wikipedia has a great round-up.

Dennis Prager makes a whole host of points that too many people, in positions of power, are afraid to make for fear of offending a minority of their constituents, and as the thousands of comments, and trackbacks, to both articles, shows, Americans were stirred up by the controversy .

Dennis Prager - 11/28/06: America, Not Keith Ellison, decides what book a congressman takes his oath on.

Dennis Prager - 12/5/06: A response to my many critics - and a solution.

Good for Mr. Prager!

Hello...

Nikita here...

I am sooo over the Election.

I last posted on Halloween, and since I am still in full possession of my hair, it means that enough of you went to the polls, and I thank you!

I still don't understand why the Liberals won, but what's a Cat to do when you humans go off your meds?

Nik1_j07 New Year's Day came, and went, and Daddy and I just hung out, looking out the window, as WW3 seemingly erupted outside, just after Midnight.

Nik2_j07 As for my plans for 2007... I hearby resolve to just be ME, but only more so, in the coming year.

I'm sleepy, it's about midnight, and I want my tummy rubbed....

Is that too much to ask? ;-D

Happy New Year, everyone!!

Hussein Hanging Video and 2 Mark Steyn Must Reads

I have just watched the 1st released Video of the Saddam Hanging, and I love it!

Much more entertaining than the amusing graphic I used in my post, the other day, announcing that the Tyrant was no longer hanging around. ;-D

As for the timing, location, taunting, and more, here are 2 essays by Mark Steyn that are of great interest:

The execution of Saddam Hussein provided a useful study in contrasting pathologies. In Europe, the dictator's hanging was deplored. "The death penalty," sniffed The Guardian, "is an unacceptably cruel and unusual punishment, even in Iraq." Really? Whether or not it was unacceptably cruel, under Saddam it certainly wasn't unusual.

By contrast, Tim Hames, of the London Times, supported toppling the butcher but not killing him. "Mainstream middle-class sentiment in Europe," he wrote, "now regards the death penalty as being as ethically tainted as the crimes that produced the sentence."

"Mainstream middle-class sentiment" translates into English as: "People I meet at dinner parties."

According to a poll published in Le Monde, the majority of Spaniards, Germans, French and British were all in favor of executing Saddam.

Indeed, Mr. Hames' fellow Britons aren't that far behind the Neanderthal Yanks in their enthusiasm for a good ol' ethically-tainted hanging: 69% of respondents in the United Kingdom supported the death penalty for the dictator versus 82% in America. Mr. Hames apparently defines "mainstream" opinion as the position held by under a third of his countrymen, not the 70% extremist fringe.

Whatever one's views on capital punishment, that's not what it's about.

Read the full article: Blowing a 'Hinge Moment' of History.

Just in time for Eid, the Iraqis decided Saddam Hussein was one old acquaintance who really should be forgot. Despite The New York Times’ protests that it’s all been too rushed, it’s three years since the mass murderer was pulled from his spider hole....

....to have convicted, sentenced and executed the dictator is a signal accomplishment for the new Iraq....

...as long as he was alive, there was always the possibility that he would return. When a dictator has exercised the total control over his subjects that Saddam did, his hold on them can only end with his death.

Read the full, very funny, piece: Saddam Hangs.

A Quick Look at Independent Journalism, and the Birthday of a Word

Bill Quick shows how "Great Minds" Think Alike with... This Is Called “Independent Journalism”, and celebrates the creation of a word that personifies how, in infinite diversity, truly Great Minds do not, and benefit the world by this contrariness, in Happy New Year and Happy Fifth Anniversary to the Blogosphere.

It is important to understand that our worldwide “Community” is not just made up of PoliBlogs, and WarBlogs.

Alongside The Cycling Dude, and my fellow BikeBlogs, you will find Blogs on every conceivable subject that can interest a person.

THAT is truly special.

A Tip of the Hat to Instapundit. ;-D
