George Orwell meet Oriana Fallaci

The brave, and opinionated, author, and journalist, Oriana Falacci, died last year, and I didn't discover her great books until long afterward.

George Orwell was many things, and sometimes he was an idiot:

He once wrote:

"We have now sunk to a depth at which restatement of the obvious is the 1st duty of intelligent men.
If Liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.
In times of universal deceit, telling the truth will be a revolutionary act."

Somehow I don't think he had the type of truth telling that Oriana Fallaci, and other brave people, have done, and continue to do, in mind.

In her book, THE RAGE AND THE PRIDE, she wrote:

"I speak to the people who, though neither stupid, nor evil, delude themselves in pietism or uncertainty or doubt.

And to them I say: WAKE UP, FOLKS, WAKE UP!

As intimidated as you are by the fear of going against the stream and looking racist ( a grossly erroneous word, by the way, because the problem has nothing to do with a race: it has to do with a religion. ) you don't understand, or don't want to understand that a Reverse Crusade is on march.

As blinded as you are by the myopia and the stupidity of the Politically Correct, you don't realize, or don't want to realize that a war of religion is being carried out.

A war they call Jihad. A war that does not aim at the conquest of our territory maybe ( maybe? ) but certainly aims at the conquest of our souls & at the disappearance of our freedom.

A war which is conducted to destroy our civilization, our way of living, and dying, of praying or not praying, of eating, and drinking, and dressing, and studying, and enjoying Life.

As numbed as you are by the propaganda of the falsehood, you don't put, or do not want to put in your mind that if we do not defend ourselves, if we do not fight, the Jihad will win. It will win, yes, and destroy the world that somehow or other we have been able to build."

Look folks, all you peaceniks, and appeasers, and Bush/Conservative/Republican haters...

Wake up, West! Wake up!

In February it only took me a only week to read the 1st 2 books of her angry, passionate, powerful Trilogy of books on the threat that the religion of Islam ( not just "Radical" Islam, but Islam PERIOD. ) is to Western Civilization, and the world.

The Rage and the Pride, and The Force of Reason, are considered dangerous, and worse, for 1 simple reason:

They forcefully lead the charge of all those brave folks who are desperately trying to tell us what is going on in Europe, and Britain, and how it can easily spread to the shores of America, the bastion of Capitalism, Christianity, Freedom, and Democracy.

I've read several other powerful, revealing, books in the past year that opened my eyes to the threat, and what they revealed horrified, and concerned me.

While Europe Slept: How Radical Islam is Destroying the West from Within by Bruce Bawer, Menace in Europe: Why the Continent's Crisis is America's, too by Claire Berlinski, and The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam ( and the Crusades ) by Robert Spencer, all are MUST reads, the 2 Fallaci books truly affected me deeply, and I am truly worried about our future when I see those delusional protesters, and politicians calling for us to leave Iraq, and to talk with Iran ( For that matter why the hell are we so friendly with Saudi Arabia, among others in the Middle East, anywho? Is it even remotely conceivable to anyone that the whole lot are playing the West for blind, and stupid fools? ).

Those who say Iraq is not important to The War Against Terror don't have a clue.

While the Jihadists, are fighting us, and the Shiites, and Sunnis, are fighting each other over who gets to run the not really a Democracy we seem to be helping them try to set up in place of Sadaam, Islam is not coming here to bomb us on our soil, and its re-conquest of Europe is slowed, if just a fraction.
