Maceyugoserbulgarigreekadonians for Borat!

There is much happiness in Maceyugoserbulgarigreekadonia these days.

The English funnyperson Sacha Baron Cohen has made much fun of a no account nation in the behind of the country formerly known as Soviet Union. He is put much insult on them, and make people here laugh very hard so tears come from eyes.
Especially with his character he calls Borat. Is name with proud history. Too bad it not a Maceyugoserbulgarigreekadonian name.

We want to tell all those who don't have sense of humor that he is really an actor who is try to use skill with joke to make money in capitalist country USA, and Great England. About if Kazakhs are like as he shows, we do not know. We never heard of country before movie, and now like learn truth.

We go online look Google, and we find goldmine for learn.

Borat is Blogger, too, like many Maceyugoserbulgarigreekadonians! ;-D

Maceyugoserbulgarigreekadonians are a good cultured hard worker people, like Kazakhs say they are, but our women are prettier, and we take pride in that.

Borat has made many Maceyugoserbulgarigreekadonians laugh much, and long, and many towns and villagers have become very envious of Kazakhs who will make much money from publicity, and people from other country who come visit, hike forest, and bicycle on roads, all over nation.

We ask Borat to come see our country, and see the condition of our society.

We have an, um, reputation, too, you know, and would like Borat to make movie about us like one made about Kazakh people who, unlike us, don't even have Bicycle to rent to tourist ( The Uzbekstan people, we know, at least have place to fix bike for tourist, when damaged on road. )

Please do good show so people know about, and come visit, our country!!!

Signed,

Why the Liberals are So Defeatist

Gribbit has much to say that nails the Defeatist Dhimmicrats.

Here in the US we are plagued with an Apathetic electorate who are slaves to the very left leaning MSM. The alphabet networks and dead tree media refuse to report on anything that will confirm the US official position. They need stories which cloud the legitimacy of the US mission in Iraq to sell their programs and/or newspapers. If it bleeds it leads. And in our current political climate, that means if it blames America for ALL of the world’s ilk, then it sells.

There's more where that came from at Gribbit's World.

Unions Defending Illegal Aliens?

I thought Unions were supposed to be there for AMERICAN CITIZENS?

After the largest workplace immigration raid in American history, labor lawyers counter-attacked with lawsuits to save illegal aliens from deportation. Long opposed to illegal immigration, unions are now among its biggest defenders.

1,282 illegal aliens were arrested in Swift and Co. meat-packing plants in six states on Dec. 12, 2006. More than 1000 federal agents swarmed the plants in near-simultaneous raids. Most of 1,300 were slated for immediate deportation, while a few were held pending other criminal charges.

“This investigation has uncovered a disturbing front in the war against illegal immigration,” Julie L. Myers, the head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said at a press conference. “We believe that the genuine identities of possibly hundreds of U.S. citizens are being stolen or hijacked by criminal organizations and sold to illegal aliens in order to gain unlawful employment in this country.”

Unions see it differently. The United Food and Commercial Workers union, which represents 10,000 employees at five of the six affected plants, was outraged. “Essentially, the agents stormed the plants, many of them in riot gear, in an effort designed to terrorize the workforce,” UFCW food division director Mark Lauritsen said in a prepared statement.

Some 12% of all unionized members at the five plants organized by the UFCW were found to be here illegally.

Nonetheless, the union has been vigorous in its defense of its undocumented workers.

MRPPT 12: Pet Foods NOT on Recall List and What Next?

Hello...

Nikita here...

Welcome to Meowsings of a Right Paw Puttie Tat!

Boy, have I been making up for lost time this weekend or what.

No, it's not because I feel guilty for not posting since the end of January!

I began posting again because of a very serious threat to the Cat, and  Canine, Communities.

This evening comes word of an invaluable post by The PetsitUSA Blog, that spreads the word about SAFE FOODS.

With the massive pet food recall that is going on, I have had people asking me what pet food is safe. At this point, feeding our pets any commercially prepared food can feel quite risky. The following companies have made statements that their food is not affected by the Menu Foods recall. Keep in mind that we are not “recommending” any of these foods. Rather, we’re compiling a list of foods that are reported safe by the manufacturers.

Check out this article on their Blog, for the List, and updates, and don't forget to read the NOTE at the end of the list

As for the all important question of What Next?

The wonderful, and dedicated, folks at Pet Connection are asking for thoughts on the subject, and start things off with 4 Legislative Suggestions.

Itchmo has started a Petition to demand changes, and people can learn more, and sign it, if they are so inclined, here: Petition to Require Pet Food Companies to be Held Accountable for Damages. ( Another, shorter, URL for the Petiion. )

Daddy signed, and I added my name in symbolic solidarity, as he posted a JOINT STATEMENT for us both:

My 9 yr. old Feline Companion, Nikita, and I wish to express our solidarity with our fellows in the Cat, and Canine Communities, in this terrible time of crisis.

We agree wholeheartedly that the marketers, and manufacturers, of the food, and treats, that people purchase, for the nourishment of their Animal Companions, need to be held accountable for what goes into their product, and for it being safe for consumption before it reaches the shelves of Retailers.

We also want to encourage all Human Companions to do all they can to inform themselves about care, and feeding, issues related to their particular Animal.

Pet Connection has an informative post of useful information:

What you need to know -- and do -- in the wake of the news.

As far as the number of casualties is concerned the company, the FDA, and AP ( Among other Media Outlets. ) are apparently not buying the notion that far more than just 16 animals have died nationwde.

Either that, or they are keeping quiet about what they know.

Pet Connections, from its self-reported database, is now reporting 1,716 dead pets as of 9 p.m. PT..

They have just posted a story about the numbers that nails the above with regards to this discrepancy, and links to stories by Newsweek, and USA Today.

The USA Today piece, in tomorrows paper, and now up on its website, is pretty much confirming that the above numbers may actually be closer to the mark.

Data from the nation’s largest chain of pet hospitals, Banfield, suggest it is as high as hundreds a week during the three months the food was on the market.

During that time, the more than 600 Banfield hospitals in 43 states saw 200 to 250 cases of kidney failure in cats above the usual number that would have been expected, says Hugh Lewis, president of Data Savant, Banfield’s data collection arm.

During that period, Banfield vets saw 100,000 cats. Extrapolating to the entire cat population of the USA, that could mean “we’re probably talking several hundred cats a week across the country being affected,” Lewis says.

Check out the post by Pet Connection, here.

MRPPT 11: Cats Who Blog, and those who Encourage Them

Nik1_0307

Hello...

Nikita here...

Welcome to Meowsings of a Right Paw Puttie Tat ( As of today MRPPT for short! )!

I am 9 years old, this month, and have had a presense online for all but 6 months of that time, thanks to the encouragement of my Human Companion.

I began Blogging in Sept. 2002, rather infrequently, until Daddy bought a Digital Camera, and we could work together to show off my handsome personage to the world, but enough to know that people enjoyed reading my thoughts, and looked forward to more.

I Blog when Daddy is either asleep, or not at home, that way we don't get in each others way. ;-D

My entries can be found in a particular archive, and I want to encourage you to get to know me, by checking out the 1st 4 entries, as a way to introduce myself to new readers:

9/9/02 = If it's All the Same to You I'd Rather be Inside!.

9/11/02 = A Cat Prepares to Return to Writing His Memoirs ( Only still existing chapters shared here! Tell me what you think, and if I should try to start over, or just try to continue telling the story! )

7/03/05 = Puzzled Pussy Ponders Peculiar Place.

9/10/05 = Bouncer: Help Humane Society help Animal Companion victims of Katrina.

On Dec. 18, 2005, I began to identify my contributions to Daddy's Blog as "Meowsings of a Right Paw Puttie Tat". ;-D

Except for 2 entries, since, all my contributions have been so labeled.

Whether labeled as MRPPT, or otherwise, you will immediately know I wrote the entry, and not Daddy, I promise. ;-D

In between Blogging I take my duties as Bouncer here, seriously.

You can tell that by my Serious Looking photo in the sidebar, and my Motto:  "You No Giva Me Problems, I No Giva You Smack!"

I am, and always have been, an Indoor Kitty ( Occasional Misadventures notwithstanding! )

The life of an Outdoor Cat is not for everyone, and those who enter into it voluntarily, full time, or part time, should do so with open eyes, and all 9 Lives intact.

Those born into the Life, who come in from the cold, often have a hard time adjusting, despite the best efforts of their Human Companions, and any Cats in the family.

I have known both a Part time Outdoor Cat, and one who, reluctantly, came in from the Outside Life, as a Kitten, and so know from what I speak.

But enough about me.

Meowsings of a Right Paw Puttie Tat 10: Pet Food Recall

Nik2_0307

Hello...

Nikita here...

Yes, I know, its been nearly 2 months since I last appeared, and I apologize.

I've been thinking about how to best proceed, as promised, with more posting ( If you are new to SEJ see Archive for everything from the last few years. ), and something has occurred in recent days that has encouraged my return to action.

As everyone, and their Human Companions, are aware, by now, there is Fear at the Food Bowl all across the land.

A week ago it was reported that many brands of Cat, and Dog, Food were being recalled.

Animal Companions, nationwide, have been reported becoming ill, and some even have died.

This crisis may have begun in February, if this timeline is to be believed.

It has now been reported that Rat Poison was found, though how it got in the food is still up in the air: Was it an accident, or deliberate?

The Mainstream Media is reporting an official death toll of 16, so far, but there seems to be a lot more to this story, and the very real possibility of many more deaths, so far, and yet to come.

One place worth reading, on a daily basis, for stories related to this Crisis, is Pet Connection.

Its Blog has been on top of this since the beginning, with some great reporting, and links to other related news stories, not to mention the comments to nearly every post, by concerned Cat, and Dog, lovers.

They have begun a Database for people to report illnesses, and deaths, and are being swamped with e-mails,and tips.

As they write in this post:

Help us out on this! Yes, you should report your pet’s illness to the FDA. Yes, you should call the manufacturer,  company that marketed the brand, retailer or grocer. (Good luck getting through to any of them, by the way.) But call us crazy, we think there needs to be an independent place for this to be reported, which is why we opened our database over the weekend.

So go to the database. Take a few minutes. Help us stay on top of this tragedy. Much of the media is still reporting 10 pet deaths — in essence, only those animals killed by Menu Food’s own tests. We know there are dozens if not hundreds more, but we can’t work with blog comments and e-mails. Anecdotal evidence is not going to cut it. We need names and details.

If you have a sick pet because of a recalled food, go here and enter the information. It’ll just take a minute.

There has been a lot of confusion all week, and so it is important to keep abreast of the story for the best, most accurate, information.

Pet connection reports the following, current numbers in their data base, with a caveate:

1,459 deceased pets ( 857 cats, 602 dogs ). As we’ve said before, these are self-reported numbers, but if nothing else they strongly suggest the numbers are higher than the “official” count of 16, more than half of which included animals killed feeding trials.

In a round-up, from which the above quote was taken, they also give a little backround on why "We made the decision to get the news out, and collect information on our own, in addition to that being offered through official channels. Not instead of, but addition to."

It seems that "we have been accused of offering ourselves as an official reporting site."

They clearly have not, from what this Cat can tell, while exploring the blog.

Check out this post for more.

In case you are wondering...

I have always been a Dry Cat Kitty, and over the past year I've discovered the pleasure of a good bowl of Hill's Science Diet for Indoor Cat ( Mature Adult 7+ ). ;-D

Yes, yes, I know, based on some of my photos on display on this blog, the claim that I am "Mature" might be considered to be up for debate, but humor me, okay.... ;-D

Iran Takes Brit Sailors Captive: A Pajamas Media Round-up

On the Scene report by Terri Judd:

In the black of night, our patrol boat skimmed across the Shatt al-Arab waterway, looking out for intruders on the disputed waters.

I was accompanying a Royal Marine patrol as it cruised Iraqi waters looking for suicide bombers trying to attack the two oil platforms that export 90 per cent of the country's oil. The patrol was also hunting smugglers bringing arms and contraband into the country.

Until this point, our only contact with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards had been polite, but stiff, contacts over the radio. On Thursday, when HMS Cornwall spotted an Iranian ship on the Iraqi side of the waterway, she approached to warn them off. The Iranians slunk into the blackness without demur.

All changed dramatically yesterday morning when 15 Royal Marines and Navy personnel, including one woman, approached a Japanese merchant ship suspected of smuggling second-hand cars into the country without paying tax. Suddenly, their inflatables were surrounded by boats of the Revolutionary Guards and they were overpowered and taken into Iranian national waters.

Read: Iran kidnaps Marines At Gunpoint.

As I reported, in the wee hours of this morning: The Iranians took a bunch of British Sailors captive in Iraqi waters, and the "British government summoned the Iranian ambassador to the Foreign Office" for a tongue lashing, with apparently no plans to kick some Ass like they would have 50, 100, or 200 years ago.

The great folks over at Pajamas Media have a smashing round-up of stories on the Crisis, which is where I found the Terri Judd report, in The Independent:

High Stakes Hold-em in the Persian Gulf: Iran Takes Captured British Military to Tehran.

Read them all.

Wake up World!!

Islamic Radicals are not just terrrorists, but Government Leaders as well.

Visit the SITE Institute: The Search for International Terrorist Entities

FROM THE WEBSITE:

"Through continuous and intensive examination of extremist websites, public records, and international media reports, as well as through undercover work on both sides of the Atlantic, the SITE Institute swiftly locates links among terrorist entities and their supporters. Once a potential terrorist entity is identified, either through SITE's ongoing internal research or via a client's specific query, SITE conducts a comprehensive investigation on the target and entities affiliated to it, scouring corporate records, tax forms, credit reports, videotapes, internet newsgroup postings, and owned websites, among other resources, for indicators of illicit activity. Such research has often yielded important leads that have been, and are continuously being, forwarded to pertinent law enforcement or government agencies, and/or information that has been used for government investigations, raids, and prosecutions, in the U.S and abroad."

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!

One of the most important websites in the fight for the survival of Western Civilization.

Just looking at the links, not clicking on any yet, mind you, just blew me away.

Must See Video: The Islamic Mein Kampf

This is an important video that is very in your face in its mission to remind all who view it about the danger to Western Civilization that is not only Radical Islam, but Islam itself.

Don't be blinded.

Do as I have been doing this past year, and read all that you can find that reveals the danger we face.

I am sick and tired of the Dhimmis of Europe, and the American Left, who yell "Hater! Bigot! Intolerant! Prejudiced! Anti-Diversity!" in their sick attempts to shut up those who reveal the truth, in order to appease the Muslim World, which has been manipulating them for 40 years now.

There is no such thing as a Moderate Muslim.

Adherance to the Koran does not allow for it.

All peoples of the world must become Muslim...

It is the Will of Allah, don't ya know!

There is no such thing as "Can't we all just get along?" unless it occurs when Non-Muslims submit to the will of Muslims, and Islam.

About the Project:

"In a rational world, there shouldn't have to be a Terrorism Awareness Project. Not after the slaughter of 9/11 and the clear message that this was just the beginning of what the jihadis had in store for us. And a Terrorism Awareness Project certainly shouldn't have to be focused on college campuses, which ought to be the intellectual spear point in the defense of our nation. But the sad truth is that America generally is sleepwalking through the war on Terror and our universities are doing something even worse: allowing an unholy alliance to form between the forces of terror and the forces of anti Americanism. Radicals on campus --and radicals continue to define the campus, as they have since the 1960s -- may deny that they actively support terror, but they admit that they believe that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." Since their enemy is America, the terrorist is their friend. This is why we have launched a Terrorism Awareness Project: to publicize and combat activities on campus ranging from the propaganda of pro-terrorist front groups such as the International Solidarity Movement to curricular distortions of disciplines such as Peace Studies."

Thank You David Horowitz, The Terrorism Awareness Project, and all those others who labor in this fight, for putting this info out there.

Hugh Hewitt Interviews Mark Steyn

EXCERPT:

HUGH HEWITT: Let me give you a couple of headlines:

Iran's Revolutionary Guard has test fired missiles on Thursday: Commanders Said Could Sink Big Warships In The Gulf.

Number two: Iran's Elite Revolutionary Guard Has Successfully Test Fired a New Russian Made Air Defense Missile System.

Headline number three: Iran's Supreme Leader Said Thursday That If the United States Were To Attack Iran, the Country Would Respond By Striking U.S. Interests All Over the World.

Number four: Iran Is Said To Have Identified 100 Spies Working For the United States and Israel In Border Areas of the Islamic State.

And... Ahmadinejad Has Objected Strenuously To the Israeli Attempt To Rebuild a Bridge To the Mosque On the Temple Mount.

Lots of Iran news today, Mark Steyn.

MARK STEYN: Yes, because basically, we are at war in Iran. I find it very interesting that people seem to think that we, Bush is planning a war with Iran. Effectively, Iran is already at war with us. There was a story in the New York Sun, a fascinating piece, a couple of weeks ago about how Iran is primarily fomenting and funding both sides of the so-called civil war in Iraq. That's to say it's funding the Sunni guys from the Sunni Triangle, and the Shia guys from Southern Iraq, and setting them at each other's throats. And you think...people like the Baker-Hamilton Study Group can't understand that, because they think that Iran has a strategic view of its own interest that would approximate to that of a rational state like Norway or New Zealand. But in fact Iran understands, as the Baker-Hamilton Study Group didn't, that this is about the United States, that all you have to do is cause chaos in Iraq, and it reflects badly on the United States, and it demoralizes the United States, and that's the target for Iran. Iran doesn't care what happens in Iraq, and in a sense, total chaos serves its interests, as long as it weakens the United States.

Catch your attention?

Read the whole interview.

George Orwell meet Oriana Fallaci

The brave, and opinionated, author, and journalist, Oriana Falacci, died last year, and I didn't discover her great books until long afterward.

George Orwell was many things, and sometimes he was an idiot:

He once wrote:

"We have now sunk to a depth at which restatement of the obvious is the 1st duty of intelligent men.
If Liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.
In times of universal deceit, telling the truth will be a revolutionary act."

Somehow I don't think he had the type of truth telling that Oriana Fallaci, and other brave people, have done, and continue to do, in mind.

In her book, THE RAGE AND THE PRIDE, she wrote:

"I speak to the people who, though neither stupid, nor evil, delude themselves in pietism or uncertainty or doubt.

And to them I say: WAKE UP, FOLKS, WAKE UP!

As intimidated as you are by the fear of going against the stream and looking racist ( a grossly erroneous word, by the way, because the problem has nothing to do with a race: it has to do with a religion. ) you don't understand, or don't want to understand that a Reverse Crusade is on march.

As blinded as you are by the myopia and the stupidity of the Politically Correct, you don't realize, or don't want to realize that a war of religion is being carried out.

A war they call Jihad. A war that does not aim at the conquest of our territory maybe ( maybe? ) but certainly aims at the conquest of our souls & at the disappearance of our freedom.

A war which is conducted to destroy our civilization, our way of living, and dying, of praying or not praying, of eating, and drinking, and dressing, and studying, and enjoying Life.

As numbed as you are by the propaganda of the falsehood, you don't put, or do not want to put in your mind that if we do not defend ourselves, if we do not fight, the Jihad will win. It will win, yes, and destroy the world that somehow or other we have been able to build."

Look folks, all you peaceniks, and appeasers, and Bush/Conservative/Republican haters...

Wake up, West! Wake up!

In February it only took me a only week to read the 1st 2 books of her angry, passionate, powerful Trilogy of books on the threat that the religion of Islam ( not just "Radical" Islam, but Islam PERIOD. ) is to Western Civilization, and the world.

The Rage and the Pride, and The Force of Reason, are considered dangerous, and worse, for 1 simple reason:

They forcefully lead the charge of all those brave folks who are desperately trying to tell us what is going on in Europe, and Britain, and how it can easily spread to the shores of America, the bastion of Capitalism, Christianity, Freedom, and Democracy.

I've read several other powerful, revealing, books in the past year that opened my eyes to the threat, and what they revealed horrified, and concerned me.

While Europe Slept: How Radical Islam is Destroying the West from Within by Bruce Bawer, Menace in Europe: Why the Continent's Crisis is America's, too by Claire Berlinski, and The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam ( and the Crusades ) by Robert Spencer, all are MUST reads, the 2 Fallaci books truly affected me deeply, and I am truly worried about our future when I see those delusional protesters, and politicians calling for us to leave Iraq, and to talk with Iran ( For that matter why the hell are we so friendly with Saudi Arabia, among others in the Middle East, anywho? Is it even remotely conceivable to anyone that the whole lot are playing the West for blind, and stupid fools? ).

Those who say Iraq is not important to The War Against Terror don't have a clue.

While the Jihadists, are fighting us, and the Shiites, and Sunnis, are fighting each other over who gets to run the not really a Democracy we seem to be helping them try to set up in place of Sadaam, Islam is not coming here to bomb us on our soil, and its re-conquest of Europe is slowed, if just a fraction.

20 Greatest Innovations by Muslims?

Yeah, so?

All this is all fine, and dandy, IF true, but why did everything go down hill from there, in Islamic countries, and any country they brutally conquered?

Take #14, the story of the Math Whiz...

This is a story about adaptation, and modification, as well as invention.

From a book called THE POLITICALLY INCORRECT GUIDE TO ISLAM ( AND THE CRUSADES ) BY ROBERT SPENCER, which I highly recommend:

"The Principles upon which al- Khwarizmi worked were discovered centuries before he was born - including the zero, which is often attributed to Muslims. Even what we know today as "Arabic Numerals" did not originate in Arabia, but in pre-Islamic India - and they are not used in the Arabic Language today.

al-Khwarizmi's work opened up new avenues of mathematical, and scientific, exploration in Europe, so why didn't it do the same in the Islamic World? The results are palpable: Europeans ultimately used Algebra, in conjunction with other discoveries, to make significant technological advances; Muslims did not."

The Muslim World became, and still is, a backwater, Oil Wealth, and rich sheiks, and Mullahs, not withstanding.

Reading this book you will learn a lot that is important for your understanding of the threat to Western Civilization that is Islam and it's disturbing history, including how progress, intellectual growth, and societal innovation of all sorts, was stiffled by the fact that there has always been, and still is, "a prevailing assumption that the Qur'an is the perfect book, and no other book is needed. With the Qur'an the perfect book and Islamic society the perfect civilization, too many Muslims didn't think they needed knowledge that came from any other source - certainly not from infidels."

Wake up, people!

Have you read The Cairo Declaration on Human Rights in Islam?

All 56 Islamic nations in the world at the time ( 1992 ), that were part of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, signed onto this.

This document declares that "all the rights and freedoms stipulated in this Declaration are subject to the Islamic Shari'ah."

And to think that some apologists for Islam are trying to make the Western World believe that the idea that Sharia is "central to Islam" is a minority opinion among Muslim believers"!

Wake up, people!

Mosque Hysteria in Europe

An interesting article about the state of affairs in Europe as it deals with the increasing number of Muslims in its midst, from the Spring 2006 Wilson Quarterly.

If you found this piece interesting then I suggest you search out the books by Oriana Fallaci, and ones by Bruce Bawer, Claire Berlinski, Bat Ye'or, Tony Blankley, Melanie Phillips, and Robert Spencer, on the growing conflict of civilization between the West and Radical Islam.

ISLAMISTphobic, not ISLAMOphobic

Since November, over at my Stumble Upon Site, I have been posting links to some interesting reading that anyone concerned about the threat of Islam to the survival of Western Civilization should check out.

This effort has been very well received, and is an extention of all the opinions, and links I've shared here over the years.

I plan to share many of those same links here, in coming days, in light of the stupidity of the Appeasing Dems in Congress, and the few Republicans who bought into their nonsense ( The House has passed its pro-defeat (and pro-pork) bill, 218 to 212. Now the President needs to veto it IN THE STRONGEST  WORDS ):

PRO-PORK AND PRO-DEFEAT: Austin Bay calls the Democratic Congress's action a double-barrelled shame, and I agree with him

Don Surber writes: "If Pelosi wants to be commander-in-chief, let her run for president. Otherwise, today’s vote was a bayonet stabbed in the back of every American troop in Iraq."

Thoughts on what it means, from The Mudville Gazette.

Hugh Hewitt on the The Kung Pao Congress: "Given the pork spent today on shrimp, spinach, and peanuts, this seems like the right way to refer to the new House majority."

John Hinderaker: "I think it has become clear to pretty much everyone that the Democrats want defeat in Iraq in order to advance their political agenda."

HOTAIR: The troops prepare for being defunded.

They commited an act of Political Fear, and abdicated their responsibility to protect America, the American People, and support our fight against the threat of terrorists, and Radical Islam in passing a Funding Bill designed to put an end to the Liberation of Iraq by pulling America out of the Middle East.

While I'm on the subject of Appeasement... the Iranians take a bunch of British Sailors captive in Iraqi waters, and the "British government summoned the Iranian ambassador to the Foreign Office" for a tongue lashing, with apparently no plans to kick some Ass like they would have 50, 100, or 200 years ago.

( UPDATE - 11AM: Fantastic Pajamas Media Round-up on this new Crisis. )

It took a while, but a fellow member of the SU Community finally came along who, to say the least, was not happy with me, and my Stumbles. ;-D

By the Stumbler Judefa.

3/15/07 - 608am:

"Islamophobia on every page.
Does he get this from Church, Fox News or what?
I mean, the guy's on a mission.
Bloody scary."

Here was my response. ;-D

Let me begin by answering her questions:

Does he get this from Church? = No, I have been to church only twice in the last 17 years, and one of those was for Family History purposes.

Does he get this from Fox News or what? = Both. The best answer is that I get my info from everywhere. I get my info not just from sources I might agree with, politically, and culturally, but it is a simple matter of doing a proper search to find damning information in the words of Muslims, Islamists, and the like, on my own.

The simple truth is that Islam, especially in its radical forms, has been on a mission since the lightbulb went on over the head of Muhammad.

THAT'S Bloody scary.

If my critic had bothered to count she would have known that of the 330, or so, entries I have made, to date, since joining SU, only about 45 have been on the subject of Islam, and Muslims.... not exactly, um, "every page". ;-D

Calling me names without doing a single thing to PROVE that what I say, report on, and link to, is wrong, is not the way to win an arguement, and prove that your opinions are right, and I am therefore a hater.

If calling me ISLAMOPHOBIC is meant to intimidate me into apologizing to, and appeasing, those who disagree with me, and stop Stumbling on the most important issues of our time, then, I'm sorry to disappoint.

Call me more of an IslamISTphobe = "IslamISTphobia: A rational, and justified, fear of violent radical IslamOfascists whose ideology calls for enslaving the planet with a world Caliphate, and Sharia Law for everyone on Earth."

As the blogger who wrote that says... "IslamISTphobia: Don't be afraid of it, embrace it."

For a fine discussion of, and links to, the origins of the term "Islamophobia", and problems with the term, check out this 2005 article by Daniel Pipes.

Here are some thoughts on the subject from a book called The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam ( And the Crusades ) by Robert Spencer:

1. No-one had heard of "Islamophobia" until a few years ago when the term was created to intimidate, and silence, critics of violent Jihad in Islam.

2. Some groups are even trying to brand those who tell the truth about Islam, and Jihad, as purveyors of "Hate Speech".

3. The UN has condemned "Islamophobia" while turning a blind eye to atrocities committed by Jihadists.

4. Does labeling as "Islamophobic" the practice of "attacking the entire religion of Islam as a problem for the world" mean that it is also Islamophobic to focus attention on the Qu'ran, and the Sunnah of the Prophet as motivations for terrorist activity? If so, then Jihad Terrorists worldwide are themselves "Islamophobic," for they routinely point to Jihad passages from the Qu'ran, and Hadith to justify their actions.

5. While it may seem "Islamophobic" to deny "the active existence, in the contemporary world of a moderate Muslim majority," it is also beside the point. Whether a moderate Muslim majority exists depends on how you define "moderate Muslim".

6. "Islamophobia" is a weapon of Jihad.

As Victor Davis Hanson points out: "Any unfairness or rudeness that acrues from the "Security profiling" of Middle Eastern young males is dwarfed by efforts of Islamic fascists themselves - here in the U.S., in the U.K., the Netherlands, France, Turkey, and Israel - to murder Westerners, and blow up civilians. The real danger to thousands of innocents is not an occasional evangelical zealot, or uncouth politician, spouting off about Islam, but the deliberately orchestrated, and very sick, anti-semitism, and anti-Americanism, that floods the airways worldwide, emanating from Iran, Lebanaon, and Syria, to be sure, but also from our erstwhile "allies" in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar."

7. The evidence is overwhelming, and beyond dispute, that Jihadist activity is occuring in the United States: "Are officials trying not to alarm Americans? Or are they trying to protect innocent Muslims from backlash? Whatever their motivations, they are keeping Americans in the dark about the true nature, and extent, of the Jihadist terror threat.

8. One Australian state has outlawed speaking the truth about Islam... and Great Britain, and other countries are contemplating similar laws.

When the Western World turns to such actions of appeasement "THAT'S Bloody Scary!"

When leaders such as the Archbishop of Canterbury spout idiocy of the kind reported by Bat Ye'or, in her book Eurabia....

On October 14, 2003 he "urged America to recognize that terrorists can "have serious moral goals." He said that, in its criticism of al-Qaeda, America ignored this point, along with the fact that terrorists pursued an aim both "intelligible and desireable." Thus, he said, America "loses the power of self-criticism and becomes trapped in a self referential morality."

... then all freedom loving people need to be concerned.

FROM America Alone by Mark Steyn:

1. "The Islamists incite Jihad from American, Canadian, British, European, and Australian mosques, and they get away with it. The West's elites lapse reflexively into twittering over insufficient "respect", and entirely fictional outbreaks of "Islamophobia."

2. In Britain.... "If a Muslim says that Islam is opposed to homosexuality, he can be investigated for homophobia; but if a gay says that Islam is opposed to homosexuality, he can be investigated for Islamophobia. As someone who's called Islamophobic and homophobic every day of the week, I can't help marveling at the speed and skill with which Muslim lobby groups have mastered the language of victimhood so adroitly used by the gay lobby."

Willful ignorance, and blindness, to the threat Western Civilization, and Freedom, face from the so-called "Religion of Peace", is NOT something any concerned citizen can afford, and it is most definitely NOT something we want in our religious, and political officials, and leaders.

My answer to all those in the See No Muslim Evil, Hear No Muslim Evil, Appeasement Brigades who ignorantly, and blindly, call all, like me, who refuse to go meekly along with their Multi-Culturalist, can't we all just get along, Anti-Capitalism, Anti-America BS, haters, and racists, for understanding that the West has been in a fight for its survival with Islam since at least the 60's, a battle that non-Muslims have been forced to periodically fight since the light-bulb went on over the head of Muhammad....

Is to continue doing what little I can, here, and on my personal blog, to wake up a sleeping world to the danger hiding under its bed.

The Stumbler in question regularly posts links, and opinions, that clearly show her warped, and misguided, worldview ( And a many people lap it up quite eagerly. ), and since I was not able to respond by private e-mail, 1st, went ahead with the above. ( She apparently prefers not to hear, directly, from those who disagree with her, or whom she launches personal attacks upon. )

No further comment has come from her since, though she has read my response, I'm sure. ;-D

***UPDATE - 4/3***

A 2nd Stumbler has since joined the list, and even tried to respond to response.

Read here.

***END UPDATE***

Earlier this month I posted a list of books that anyone who cares to understand the threats we face should read.

It is a list that I will continue to add to as I read more books.

I also have a growing list of links my sidebar, about RADICAL ISLAM, that are an absolute must.

A Tip of the Hat to Instapundit for the links related to the vote in Congress. ;-D

The Directory Assistance Operator Song

You know.... I never wanted to be a Bookstore Clerk, and Manager, for 17 years in the first place!

I...  I wanted to be...

A DIRECTORY ASSISTANCE OPERATOR!

( Cradling a cell phone lovingly in his arms, like a baby... )

Handling call after call!  As they come down the mighty phone, and cable, wires of the world!  With my fellow Operators by my side!
The Residential Listing!
The Business Number!
The Movie Times and Reviews!
The Weather!
The Horoscope!
The Restuarant Reviews!
The Little 2 year olds making their 1st phone calls!
We Talk!  Talk!  Talk!

Ohhh, I'm a Directory Assistance Operator, and I'm okay.
I dream all night of taking your calls all day.

Phalanx of 6 Operators at their cubicles:
He's a Directory Assistance Operator, and he's okay.
He dreams all night of taking your calls all day.

I ask you for your listing please. I eat my lunch.
I go to the lava-try.
On my off day I go shoppin'
And come home to watch TV.

Operators: He asks you for your listing please. He eats his lunch.
                     He goes to the lava-try.
On his off day he goes shopping
And comes home to watch TV.

Chorus: I'm (He's) a Directory Assistance Operator, and I'm (he's) okay.
I (He) dream(s) all night of taking your calls all day.

I ask you for your listing please.
I help plan trips and find Docs to fix that lump.
I press computer keys for hours.
I put up with the occasional loathing
Your curses are like a bouquet of flowers.

Operators: He asks you for your listing please.
He helps plan trips and finds Docs to fix your lumps.
He presses computer keys for hours.
He puts up with your loathing
Your curses are like a... bouquet of flowers?!

Chorus: I'm (He's) a Directory Assistance Operator, and I'm (he's) okay.
I (He) dream(s) all night of taking your calls all day.

I ask you for your listing please.
Your ignorance makes my head reel,
As I try not to laugh, ha, ha!
It almost drives me nuts,
Just like my dear Papa! ( Throws Cell Phone to the floor, and stomps on it. )

Operators: He asks for your listing please.
Your ignorance makes his head reel,
                       It almost drives him... nuts?!
( spoken, raggedly)  What's this?  Is he nuts??  Oh, My!

Chorus: I'm (He's) a Directory Assistance Operator, and I'm (he's) okay.
I (He) dreams(s) all night of taking your calls all day.

                Yes, I'm (He's) Directory Assistance Operator, and I'm (he's) ok-a-y.
I (He) dreams(s) all night of taking your calls all daaaayyyy!!!

My 1st Birthday Card: Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Your collection of Greeting Cards, given to you over the years, is priceless, so before you decide to toss them out please consider this story.

The oldest Greeting Card in my collection is one my Dad presented my Mom a few hours after I was born on March 5th, 1960.

Sai_pat1

To appreciate this you must understand that, even after 8 yrs. in America, and 3+ yrs. knowing my Mom, Dear Ol' Dad's grasp of English and of American customs still left MUCH to be desired. :-D

Anywho, happy as a clam at the birth of yours truly, Pops floats on Cloud 9 to the hospital gift shop looking for something to present to Herself who was busily recuperatin' from her recent exertions. :-D

After much (one presumes) thought he settles on a pretty looking card with a white and green flower design on the front and insides.

I imagine it was the sentiment expressed on the inside of the card that got his attention: "Just Couldn't Forget YOU On A Day Like THIS!" The outside of the card said HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY! But, of course, what did he know from St. Patrick, right? :-D

Sai_pat2

To further give you an idea of his state of mind, there's this: In red, but CROSSED OUT in blue, is his signature: Seorgio Kundurazieff...

Underneath that, in blue, he signs it correctly: Georgio Kundurazieff.

The card is a litle brown along the top edge, but, after 47+ years has not lost any of the green color of the flowers. :-D

The card was published by BUZZA-CARDOZO of Hollywood Ca. and its product code number is also clear. The price was all of 10 cents, if I read it right. :-D

Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone!! ;-D

Did Communism Infiltrate American Society and Culture?

There is a list of 45 goals that made their way down the halls of Congress back in 1963.

As you read this, 44 years later, you should be shocked by the events that have played themselves out as Liberalism took hold of so damn much in our country.

It is chilling how well their goals have been met...

#29 should make your hair curl. [ Mine would have if I had enough, and it wasn't cut so short. ;-D ]

The Communist Takeover Of America - 45 Declared Goals.

How I Spent My Spring Vacation

I was on vacation from March 2nd to March 12th, and therein lies a tale, or 2. ;-D

On March 2 I attended the Quality of Life Expo, and on the 4th, the Acura L.A. Bike Tour, both held in conjunction with the Los Angeles Marathon.

Bike_t21

I attended, notebook, and camera, in hand, with the intention of writing about the experience on my BikeBlog, The Cycling Dude.

This resulted in my spending a week publishing a series of picture filled posts that begin with this one.

There was one experience that will be of interest to all those who support the Liberation of Afghanistan, and Iraq, and understand the danger that Radical Islam is to Western Civilization.

After the ride I went to Hollywood for the 1st time in several years, and encountered some very friendly protestors, on Bicycles, on Hollywood blvd., east of Vine, across the street from the Pantages Theatre.

Being an intersection with crowds of people, coming, and going, to the Theatre, or the Metro Red Line Train, there was a huge, semi-captive, audience to hear their message over a microphone. ;-D

Bike_t26Apparently an effort of people connected with BikeBoom Los Angeles, and Bike Out ( Go here, and here, to learn more about both. ), there were a dozen young radicals milling about when I showed up intending to get on the Metro to begin my journey home.

They had been there for an hour when I appeared, and my bike, with its sign, promoting my BikeBlog ( I crossed out the word RUN, and replaced it with BICYCLE, instead, hee, hee! ) drew them to me like bees to honey. ;-D

Apparently thinking I might be there to join them the guy with the microphone sticks it in my face, and asks me who I am.

So I tell him, and anyone within the 2 block range of my amplified voice, about my Blog, and about covering the Bike Tour.

They might have been surprised when I then said that that I was a Conservative Cyclist, and Republican, who disagreed with their cause, but supported their right to speak their piece.

Bike_t27

Freedom, and the right to express one's opinion without fear of reprisal was one of the things that made America different from our enemies in the world.

They voiciferously echoed my sentiments, and it appeared they were showing approval for this surprisingly reasonable sounding "Rightwing Wacko ", hee, hee. ;-D

Then I fired off the Shot Heard Round the Block....

I said...

"Do you realize that if the Islamofascists  had their way neither of us would be able to stand here expressing our views?"

Suddenly the microphone was gone, and there was a sudden need to prepare for the little protest ride they had gathered for.

A few minutes later they were gone. ;-D

One more thing that Conservatives should know.

If you are bicyclist, you are not alone! ;-D

It is a sure bet that radio stations will have booths at Expos like the one I attended, and maybe a Campaign on behalf of a local, state, or Presidential candidate, as well.

While I was not surprised to find a booth promoting Obama, the Radio station I found made me laugh out loud in delite. ;-D

Expo_five

I am not the only Conservative Cyclist out there on the street, or in the BikeBlogosphere, and so seeing the local affiliate that carries Hugh Hewitt, Bill Bennett, Laura Ingraham, Dennis Prager, Mike Gallagher, Michael Medved, and Michael Savage, set up a booth in such a place should not be such a surprise to anyone.

To all those who think that such a spectacle is the equivalent of finding a MoveOn.org booth at a National Rifle Association Convention, I can only say... take a deep breath, calm down, and RELAX already!

This is the station's 3rd year at the Expo, and one person manning the booth told me of at least one station employee who commutes quite a way to, and from, work, by bike.

As bicyclists we have much in common, and cyclists of my, um, persuasion, have much to share, and say, about our shared recreational, and commuting, activity that cyclists of all varieties have shown me, over 4 years, they like, and agree with.

When a Bachelor Pad Begs for a New Look

In 1998 my sisters, and I, sold the family home, the 4 bedroom house I had grown up in, and lived in, since 1969, when I was 9 years old, and my youngest sister was just a year old.

I moved into a tiny 1 bedroom bungalow, and there I lived for four years before moving to a studio apartment in Costa Mesa, then to my current, not quite 1 bedroom in Santa Ana.

In all those years I didn't have enough furniture, or enough money to spend on it, to spruce things up.

I managed on the bare minimun.

Liv_spac_1

A bed, a desk, a folding chair, and a dresser with 6 drawers, are what you see looking south, from my front door.

Not much to speak of is it?

Not even any pictures on that wall back there, and I've got tons of photos packed away in photo albums.

Well, there is a photo of my Mom over the Desk, and a copy of the Desiderata, on a beautiful wood plaque, alongside a poem by my baby sister, called Big Brother.

Liv_spa2 Looking north, toward my front door,  there are my Bookshelves, and the coffee table with my TV and stereo.

As I said.... no furniture to speak of.

While I was taking the photos you see in this post Nikita decided to check out the 2nd floor walkway, taking advatage of one of the few times I leave the front door open for any length of time.

Save the Easter Bunny!!

FROM THE WEBSITE:

EasterBunnyDude is a resident of Walnut Creek, Calif., who discovered a few weeks ago that the city has banned all things Easter.

No Easter Bunny. No Easter Egg Hunt. But we do have a Spring Bunny and a Spring Egg Hunt.

Kind of like Whoville, without those whacky dwarfs.

We live in the shadow of Mt. Diablo, named after the devil himself, which may explain a few things.

In the Easter Bunny vernacular, I was hopping mad.

Just learned of this on Hannity amd Colmes, and have watched the video. ;-D

Amazing!

It would be extremely funny, if it wasn't so wrong, and distrubing, and a fine example of Political Correctness Hopping Amuck.

Read this post for more backround, and check out the Blog from time to time, to kept abreast of the situation.

Count me as a Friend of the Easter Bunny! ;-D

Shame on John Edwards and His Campaign

Well, well, well!

Who'd a thunk dat Brer Edwards friends would a come complainin' to the media 'bout dis yer Ann Coulter, w'ich anybody would er know'd, speaks only in de name er goodness, and she does vow she ain't meanin' to insult Brer Edwards, or his fammerly.

A Devastating Indictment of the Democrat Netroots Regarding Fairness and Balance

The Democrats will be having a presidential debate in Reno, August 14th, ahead of the Nevada primary.

Fox News is signed on to be the cablecaster, but the, um, more “progressive” side of the Blogosphere is up in arms, trying to block the involvement of the “right-wing mouthpiece.”

Daily Kos, and MoveOn.org, are all over this like a Stink Bug on Dog Poop, and a fine, upstanding member of the Pajama's Media Network does an outstanding job of reporting on the issue, and getting one of the principal organizers of the effort for MoveOn.org, as well as well-known left-wing filmmaker, Robert Greenwald to make a fool of himself, and the effort, in an interview.

What’s wrong with Fox News for these folks? The TV network comes off as fairly anti-Democratic. People are upset about a 2004 Democratic debate that aired with talking heads interjecting comments and the Democratic Party referred to as the “Democrat” Party throughout. That’s a particularly sophomoric rhetorical ploy on the right. You can’t change the name of a political party to suit your partisan fancy, and no other serious journalistic organization would do that. But the Democrats, as you might suppose, have established ground rules to prevent those sorts of interjections in the Nevada debate.

Not unlike their counterparts way over to starboard, these principal players in the lefty blogosphere are ideological warriors, hyperpartisans who offer little if any quarter in their political jihads. They want their chosen party, the Democratic Party, to do what they want it to do. But most professional Democrats regard the lefty blogosphere, which styles itself as the netroots, as distinguished from the traditional grassroots, as an angry constituency that doesn’t necessarily see the bigger picture.

They put a particularly post-modern spin on their crusades, focusing on the need to change “the media narrative” about events in order to influence those events. To win reality, in this view, you must redefine reality.

Others in politics believe that in order to win in politics, you work in the reality that exists.

Which brings us to Fox News. Fox isn’t exactly the favorite cable news channel of Democrats. Yet Democrats largely do business with it, because it exists. The netroots folk who stirred up this little crusade want to redefine it so that it does not exist. At least, not as a legitimate news channel.

A Tale of 2 Bathtubs

This is a post about 2 bathtubs filled with water...

From an Article at the Conservative Voice:

"Yes, there was a time when bathtubs were used for brewing moonshine, and there is a time of the year that some Jewish families use their bathtub for preparing Passover dishes, but, in general, a bathtub serves its usual bathing purpose. However, on occasion great creative innovations, ingenious ideas, and startling breakthroughs occur in the mundane moments while bathing, showering, or shaving. So it was a number of centuries ago when a man stepped into his water filled bathtub and recognized that the more he immersed, the more the water level would rise and could eventually overflow.

In that one bathing experience, although untold numbers of people had experienced this before, he recognized a fundamental law of physics -- it is now called the law of displacement."

Please Read: Disproving the Law of Displacement by Daryl Temkin.

The following is an E-mail one of my sisters sent me this morning, but the link was my idea. ;-D

The Bathtub Test .....

It doesn't hurt to take a hard look at yourself from time to time ... and this should help you get started.

During a visit to the Mental Asylum, a visitor asked the Director what the criterion was which defined whether or not a patient should be institutionalized.

"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the tub."

"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."

"No." said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?"

DID YOU PASS?? ;-D

Boogie to the Mohamsterdance!

The original Hamsterdance was amusing for the 1st 5 min., and then it drove me nuts! ( Not that I wasn't already, in some folks eyes, but... ). THIS? THIS is a pure joy! For the simple reason that it will drive the Islamofascists, and Jihad Joe's/Jane's nuts ( Not that they weren't already, but... ). ;-D

Seriously.... this is a wonderful FU to all those who are trying to censor one of the most important Blogs on the internet. I hope he returns to action some day.

Books on the Threat of Islam to Western Civilization that Everyone Should Read

A Bicycling Weekend

The last 4 days have been busy ones for me, on my other Blog, The Cycling Dude.

As readers may know there was a Big, World Famous, 26 mile foot race in Los Angeles today.

I could care less. ;-D

I was there for the Expo, and the 21.6 mile Bicycle Tour of the city that occurs in the 2 hours BEFORE that famous race. ;-D

All week I will be writing about my adventures, and including Photos ( I was even on local TV for one brief, shining, moment, and caught the image with my Camera at home! ).

For the story, so far, begin here.
