Tour de Bicycling Blogs 7: New Direction
If the Bike Trail doesn't come to Bikehammad...
Then Bikehammad will go to the Bike Trail!
Hee, hee. ;-D
Actually I'm taking the logical next step with the Tour de Bicycling Blogs.
As regular readers know, my efforts to add a Bicycling Carnival to all the others in the Blogosphere has not been a smashing success these last 6 months.
Some Niche Blogging Communities are just not made for some of the things the wider Blogosphere does, it seems.
And that can be a good thing. :-D
Soooo, I am taking the Tour onto the path I've successfully, informatively, and entertainingly, trod on my other blog for years.
"Seek, find, and inform my readers" has been a part of my blogging philosophy from the start.
I decided, though, in 2004, to do something on occasion to let my readers know of blogs other than those related to Politics, and the like.
So Sneak's Wide World of Blogging was born, and has 49 editions under its belt, bringing, I hope, new readers to those places I visited.
This same interest in spreading the word has played a part in my linking to my fellow BikeBloggers over the years.
I believe that there is an audience out there for our type of blogging, among our fellow BikeBloggers, and among the bicyclists in the wider Blogosphere.
Not just for the stories we tell of our cycling adventures, but for the resources, and news, we link to, and report on.
The Blogosphere that I have been a part of since May 2002 has harnessed the tools of blogging ( Links, Trackbacks, Comments, and Community ) into a mighty force for the dissemination of news, opinion, and information, to be reckoned with, and even feared, by the Mainstream Media.
To one degree, or another, my fellow BikeBloggers, though we are a small, and relatively new, but growing, Community, have been doing those same things, though not to the same degree as our more varied fellows in the older Blogosphere.
Today a new chapter begins in the life of the Tour...
Ladies, and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Cyclists, and non-cyclists!
Welcome to the 7th edition of The Tour de Bicycling Blogs!
Do U Bicycle?
There are a growing number of Bloggers with sites dedicated to the proposition that bike riding is good for you and fun.
In various ways we all provide commentary, and opinion, reports about events, and news, write reviews, stories, and travelogues, share photographs, and spread the word about the wide variety of websites of interest to anyone who rides a bike.
BikeBloggers spread the word, and the word is BICYCLE!
This ongoing series is about bicycling, and bicyclists... Recreational Bicyclists, Bike Commuters, and Activists.
It is about those of us whose blogs are devoted to writing about our bicycling escapades, and about anything else cycling related that catches our attention.
Expect to read my own thoughts about some, or all, of what I bring to your attention.
Let's saddle up, and ride!

Howdy! Just dropped by to say hey and thanks earlier for featuring me in the carnival. I'm currently being featured in MSN Spaces this week in the "What's Your Story" segment of Spaces. This has me up for "Best of Spaces, by the way! I enjoy reading your blog, by the way, so keep it up!
