NOTE - 5/4: A hearty welcome to those of you wandering in for a look see from various other blogs who mentioned this story yesterday, and today. This weekend marks the 4th Anniversary of this humble spec in the Blogosphere, and I am truly honored, and inspired, by the sudden flurry of links, and visits, this place is getting. END NOTE.
Are You a blogger who supports The War Against Terror ( TWAT for you folks in Rio Linda ), and the Liberation of Iraq and Afghanistan?
Are you tired of being ridiculed by the Left, the Bloggers on the Left, and the Liberal Mainstream Media?
Want to show that you don't give a Donkeys' Ass, and will contine on your merry way?
A handful of the most outspoken, and imaginative, of your fellows have come up with the answer!
Our friends on the port side of the blogosphere have had quite a time tossing around funny little nicknames for those of us who support the war on terror and use our blogs to express our convictions about it. We've seen the names here at CQ in the comments section -- the term "chickenhawk" has appeared more than once, and others in the blogosphere have assigned us to a unit called the 101st Fighting Keyboardists.
God, that's a cool name! ;-D
Captain Ed, of Captain's Quarters, continues....
There is honor in engaging in public debate for policies which we believe are in our nation's best interest as well. For many of us, we know that without presenting our arguments in the national forum, many in the media and the public will quickly overpower the debate and threaten the policies we feel give us the best long-term opportunity to defeat terrorism and the states that fund and shelter them.
Many on the left disagree, however, and often they provide challenging arguments and valuable perspectives on policy and the manner in which it gets implemented. However, many more do little but make ad hominem attacks on those with whom they disagree. They spend a great deal of effort labeling people rather than providing rational arguments on policy, and even the labels they select don't provide much more than amusement.
That's why Frank J of IMAO, Derek Brigham of Freedom Dogs, and I have decided to create -- for real -- the 101st Fighting Keyboardists and adopt the chicken hawk as our mascot. First of all, the term "fighting keyboardist" describes our efforts pretty well, and we think the pseudo-military terminology is pretty danged amusing. Derek himself designed the logo.
And why the chicken hawk?

Late last night, remembering all the times in the past that I have spoken out, and reported stories, and realizing that I will continue to do so, and will continue to support those who do...
This Proud PJ Pundit enlisted himself, secure in The Maceyugoserbulgarigreekadonian Compound, in the Fighting Keebees!
Winning this War of Civilizations we are in, against terrorists, and Extremist Islam, in the Media, and in the hearts, and minds, of all who support Freedom, and Democracy, is just as important as winning the war on the battlefield.
Oh, and 1 more important thing before you, too, decide to enlist:
Q. What happened to the 1st through 100th Fighting Keyboardists?
A. Saudi cyber-jihadists got them.Q. This sounds scary.
A. It is! But we must persevere.
Yes, we must.
The future of Freedom, Democracy, our Culture, and of all who come after us depends on it.
Now, where's my damn Chicken Sandwich?

That is completely awesome! I love it.

I always knew you were a TWAT! ;^D
It must drive the W.A.C.K.I.E. side of the blogosphere nuts that war bloggers can communicate with the actual warriors rather receive their information from a pack of journos lolling around in 5 star hotels paying stringers to feed them what they want to hear/see.
Who do I trust?
War and Milbloggers, not the drive-by media.
One can't refer to them as the main stream media any longer, as they no longer represent or report for the main stream, they are well-kept lap dogs of the Liberal establishment amplifying leftie elite speak before the cameras or in print.

You mean TWIT, don't you?
I can neither be, or have, a TWAT.
Hee, hee. ;-D

Great point.

I blogged on this same topic about two months ago! I developed the same theme, the leftoid taunt of 101st Keyboardist is not a taunt but chipping in to win the WOT. Not every able bodied man was in Europe or the Pacific during WWII, some were running the mills or keeping the goods flowing about the nation.
We all play a role whether it is fighting on the frontlines, producing goods at home for the fight, or countering the leftoids attempts to assist the Jihandists in their information attacks.
Though your device is way cooler than the one I came up with.
